PUBLIC UTILITY COMPANY BEOGRADSKE ELEKTRANE

Situated on the north geographic latitude between 44°16’ on the south and 45°06’ on the north, the city of Belgrade has a moderate continental climate. Kosava, the most common Belgrade wind, coming from SE, blows-out smoke and dust from the city all year round, but is more often in the winter. Therefore, due to specific climate citizens of Belgrade have to take care of heating. For a long time this was an obligation of every head of the family. Today “Beogradske elektrane” took over the obligation of heat supply, due to the fact that it is necessary in order to enable normal living.
